Step 1
Find the license code for the operating system installed on your computer. Usually it is located on the box from the disc or on the media itself, or, if the system was previously preinstalled and its distribution kit is available only on the hard disk, find a special sticker labeled “Product Key” on the computer case or on the back cover of the laptop.
Step 2
Rewrite the numbers opposite this inscription, this is the license code of the program, which gives you access to obtaining an activation code, after entering which you can use Windows Vista legally.
Step 3
Open the activation window of the operating system and enter this code into the corresponding activation window for Windows Vista. Contact Microsoft by phone using the number listed in the activation window. Enter the rewritten software product key in the system and receive an activation code generated on its basis.

It's best to also save it along with the previous one so that next time you reinstall it you don't have to contact tech support to get it. The same goes for the rest of the programs on your computer.
