If you were filming an important event, party or serious presentation with an amateur camera or camera, you probably chose the most convenient video angle - horizontal or vertical. Having copied the recorded video from the camera to the computer, in some cases you can get the video turned sideways to the viewer, and it becomes necessary to change its position by rotating it 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise. Vegas Pro's simple video editing software and its Event Pan / Crop tool will help you change the position of your video.
Instructions
Step 1
Download, install and run Vegas Pro software on your computer. Then open the video in it that requires a spread. In the video control window, click on the frame icon that invokes the Event Pan / Crop tool.
Step 2
The video editing window will open. Increase the size of the video on the screen by scrolling the mouse scroll forward if the scale seems too small for you.
Step 3
Press the left mouse button between the image on the video and the circle on the screen, and then, without releasing the key, rotate the video 90 degrees counterclockwise or clockwise. You can manually expand the video frame as much as you need.
Step 4
You can also rotate the video automatically by selecting the "Rotation" item in the panel on the right side of the screen and marking the desired value for the rotation angle.
Step 5
The video will be surrounded by a frame - it marks the boundaries of the visible recording area after the spread. Change the position of the image manually so that no elements in the viewport are lost after rotation.
Step 6
To resize the video and fit it to the new frame, manually drag the video by the top or bottom point, and then by the right or left point while holding down the "Ctrl" key to maintain the aspect ratio of the video window.
Step 7
Crop the edges of the video if necessary and save it.
