Instructions

Step 1

Use the XPS Document Writer to create these files using any Windows program. When XPS documents are printed, they have a screen-like appearance. They are available to move, send by e-mail, burn to CD, or via a local area network in the same way as other files. They can also be shared because they are available on any computer that has the XPS Document Writer installed, even if it does not have the programs that were used to create them.

Step 2

Use the Document Data Writer to print XMS files. Open the document you want to print, select the "File" - "Print" command. This command is available in most programs. Next, in the Print dialog box, select the Microsoft XPS Document Writer option to create an XPS document.

Step 3

Preview the document before printing using the XPS Document Writer. To do this, click on the "Options" button, select the "XPS Documents" tab, make sure the checkbox next to "Automatically open XPS documents in the viewer" is checked. Next, print the document. In response to the request, in the window that opens, enter the file name, then go to the folder where you want to save the document.

Step 4

Please note that the Windows operating system automatically saves these files in the My Documents folder. Therefore, if you do not select a folder to save, you can find your file in this folder. After that, you can view the resulting file.

Step 5

To do this, go to the folder and open it. You can also print a copy of the document on paper, send it to the printing house. To avoid security issues, digitally sign your document before uploading or sharing it.
