Step 1

If you do not have Kaspersky Anti-Virus yet, download and install it. If you already have this program, you can check your computer for viruses and remove them if necessary.

Step 2

Open the antivirus program menu by double-clicking on the antivirus icon with the left mouse button. The Kaspersky antivirus icon is located at the bottom of the taskbar of the operating system. In the main menu of the program, select the "Virus scan" section. In the menu that opens, select the "My Computer" option. Now in the right window of the program you will see the scanned objects. They should be marked with check marks. In this window, select "Scan for viruses".

Step 3

A window will open showing the process of checking your computer for viruses. At the top of the window there will be a bar that shows how much is left before the scanning process is completed, and at the bottom - the event log. Wait for the completion of the computer scan process. Please note that if this is your first time performing this procedure, the scan time in this case can take up to three hours.

Step 4

When the scanning process is complete, select the Detected tab in the event log. A list of all viruses found on the computer will appear in the window. Click on the "Actions" button at the bottom of the window. In the menu that appears, select "Clear". The process of removing the found viruses will begin.

Step 5

After the system is cleared of viruses, restart your computer. Go to the antivirus menu again and select the "Scan for viruses" section. But this time in this section, select the Critical Areas option. Next, in the right window, select "Scan for viruses". The main system files will be scanned for viruses. Although after the first scan, most likely, all viruses will be removed, but there is always the possibility that even after cleaning the computer, some of them may not be removed. And in this case, most likely, they will be located in the system folders.
