The problem of restoring open application windows is caused by disconnecting the second monitor without exiting the program window. The solution to the problem is to use the context menu of the open program window and the "Move" command, which are standard tools of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Instructions
Step 1
Familiarize yourself with the basic ways to manage windows - the control buttons located in the upper right corner of each window: Minimize Window, Maximize Window, Resize Window, Minimize Window Maximized to Full Screen to a Smaller Window, and "Close a window". Some buttons may be grayed out depending on the current state of the window.
Step 2
Use an alternative way to manage the parameters of open windows - the context menu, which can be invoked by right-clicking on the window title. Another way to enter the window service menu is to simultaneously press the Alt + Space keys.
Step 3
Select the Restore command to return to the previous display settings for the selected window in full screen mode, or use the Move command to select the desired location for the selected window on the screen (except in full screen mode).
Step 4
Press the Alt + Tab keys at the same time to perform the operation to restore the hidden application window when the second monitor is turned off. (An alternative way to navigate to a hidden window is to specify the selected window in the taskbar.)
Step 5
Call the context menu of the required window by right-clicking on the window icon and select the "Move" command.

Wait for the mouse cursor to change to an arrow icon and press any function arrow key.

Move the mouse anywhere to reveal a hidden window.
